food for thought

I just started yet another new job last week. I totally love it, and I feel so blessed!!! When we were in Beaumont all I thought about was how in Houston I needed to find something that paid better and made me happy.

I think I will be happy.

so. One thing I will note is that I am the only "caucasian" person in the office. The rest is Hispanic/Latino. No biggie, I dont mind it, but now its just more reason to borrow rosetta stone from my sister. the other day, my boss said, "you're such a white girl!" and she was laughing...well, ok. Yes I AM white, but how would YOU feel if I said, "you're such a mexican girl!" do you ever hear that kind thing? this is not the 1st time I have heard this from another race, and I never say anything, but really, I would probly get the shit beat outta me if I said to someone, " you're so black!" "you're so asian!" ummmm yeah. Dont get me wrong, so far, my boss is awesome, but- she's lucky I dont take things the way many people would.

Just sayin.

Unless your good friends with others of different races then it doesn't matter and you can jump right in with the discrimination.
